AppleALC.kext should not be combined with patched AppleHDA.
The two solutions (directly patching AppleHDA, or patching AppleHDA via AppleALC) are mutually exclusive.

Removed AppleALC and CodecCommander...same thing with no sound again

Best to use dummyHDA and appropriate Clover patches + vanilla AppleHDA.
