My bad. I'm currently using a MacMini (late 2014) and MacBook Pro, trying to see if I can accomplish this install before switching to Windows. Is that what you meant?

Thanks for your help.

Is that what you meant?

No, please provide complete details in your Profile (personal details).

Mobo: Motherboard Manufacturer/Model (e.g., Asus Maximus IX Hero Z270)
CPU: Detailed CPU model (e.g., Intel Core i7-7700K)
Graphics: Video Card Manufacturer/Model (e.g., Asus GeForce GTX 950)

Please note that your Kaby Lake CPU is not natively supported in macOS.
The CPU requires a FakeCPUID (with Skylake ID) to boot.

HA! Gotcha. *Face Palm*

Those are the exact threads I've been following, including changing the FakeCPUID to 0x0506E3. It boots the loading bar, but then I get the "blocked" signal just before completing. I've tried different drivers, etc. I know it's probably something really obvious that I must have misread/skipped.

I do appreciate the help.

Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen with the prohibitory symbol.
I am guessing that it says "Still waiting for root device" in the bottom left corner.

This is the picture right before the prohibitory symbol.

Before is useless for diagnosis - That's what it looked like when it was working.

Yeah, it does say "still waiting for root devices."

Yeah, it does say "still waiting for root devices."

When installing this means that your USB flash drive cannot be found.
This is usually because the flash drive is in a USB3 port.
If this is the case move it to a USB2 port, if it is already in a USB2 port move it to another and try again.
Repeat until you have tried all USB ports.
Use a USB2 flash drive.
If it still doesn't work you could try another flash drive.
You might also try enabling Legacy on your USB3 ports in your BIOS settings.
