You could try... it is just a cosmetic issue on the 10.10/10.11 boot anyway.

HP Probook 4530s Clover Hotpatch 10.9.5 problem.
Isn't that patch to fix the boot when you have set 1920x1080 resoultion and the screen is all scrambled? if so that isn't needed on the 4530s due to HD3000 CSM support if I'm correct. Mine has never output 1920x1080 at boot or in the bios like my 4540s did.

Just disabled it. Isn't that thats causing the problem must be something else. Still have a black screen when booting mavericks. Doesn't make any difference to boot in 10.11 so its not needed i guess. Im thinking of putting a test drive in there and trying a clean install on another drive and see if still a black screen i may try the old method with DSDT and SSDT.

Theres the config I'm currently using. Ive edited it with PlistEdit Pro. Ive also change CsrActiveConfig to 0x3 which should be fine. So SIP is partially disabled.

How come is it a bad idea? Should be fine on updates? thats what i set my Desktop on i have SIP fully enabled but on updates i change it to 0x3 and I've never had no problems. So i guess its not that causing black screen problem might be better doing a clean install of Mavericks?
