[Solved] High Sierra Shutdown Problem

Status

@Feartech
it's not possible for me to get this custom ssdt for usbinjectall-kext customised. Like I've said I'm no pro, sorry. I'm even happy that I've got xCode and IOreg running but I can't figure out which usb ports are necessary for my system. It don't work like described in the guide from @RehabMan for me and it's really heavy to do for someone like me without any coding experience.

is there another solution? or has someone a custom ssdt for usbinjectall-kext for my system (Gigabyte Z77X-U5H Rev 1.1, OSX High Sierra 10.13.6) I really don't know what to do.

Thanks to everyone who will help me.

you can use google to see if someone has done the work for you

there is another option call FBPatcher

Thank you for this but it isn't my solution. I've tried the FBPatcher as described but nothing changed it's even worser. Now my Data Drive (HDD) NOT my system drive seems to be corrupted. MacOS shows me the message that it can't be repaired and I should backup all my data on this drive. It's a new WD Red 4TB HDD. Don't know if it is because of the FBPatcher?!

So my problems are now:

- MacOS won't shut down or restart. Everytime I want to shutdown or restart, the screen turns off and after few seconds it turns to black with mouse cursor on it. I must do hard shut down by pressing power button for few seconds.
- Can't update my hack because restart don't work.
- New HDD is corrupted now with lots of Data on it (4TB)

Also I've tried what happens if I try to shutdown on this black screen with CTRL+ALT+CMD+EJECT, its about the failure sound "bum" of mac on every key on keyboard I press. Also the "voice over" could be startet via shortcut and volume could be muted and levelled. but nothing else is happening on this black screen. even with CTRL+ALT+CMD+EJECT nothing. Only this stupid "bum" sound. and voice over. haha.

It's really shitty what happens... I've done nothing to my running system and from one day on it won't shut down and restart. Maybe there are USB issues, even don't know if I done everything right with FBPatcher but I've tried to do my best following step by step your quoted guide. Thanks for your help, if anybody has solutions for me it would be great. Thanks.

Got some news:

Uninstalled Nvidia Web Driver again, also uninstalled CUDA driver. After this tried to shutdown -> Screen switched power safe as always, after few seconds back to black with mouse cursor in left upper corner, THEN switched back power safe, apple wheel for shutdown was shown. it reverbed again and again until it was a big fat apple wheel of death. After 15 minutes of waiting for shutdown nothing happened and I killed the hack by pressing power button.

After this I made a restart by pressing power button again, apple logo with status bar underneath was shown. then it restarted by itself. now it was booting to system login, after log in I got this Panic Report (changed the Kernel UUID to XXXXX so don't worry):

Maybe anyone can read something out of this panic report what is the problem why my system won't shutdown or restart normally? Thanks in advance.

I've found a new suggestion from @Jithin.C.V

First time after installation of web driver you should have to restart OSX for taking effect.

Please post your config.plist if you have any other issues.

Try shutdown with below command on Terminal.app

Code:
shutdown -h now

If that is making your OS X down, then boot in verbose mode and try shutdown from GUI. So that you can see steps of shutdown in text.

If the above command not making your OS X down, then enable FixShutdown_0004 DSDT Fix on your clover's config.plist. Then reboot your OS X and try shutdown again.

This helped me to shutdown my hack. But unfortunately I don't even know why with this terminal code I could shutdown and without my hack won't shutdown. It isn't the solution so far but... getting closer maybe?! Anyone Ideas?

Hey @P1LGRIM and anybody else,

Since few days I have the same problem like described by boern.

Unfortunately also restart won't work too. In both ways (shutdown or restart) it'll stuck on black screen with cursor and I have to press the power button to shut down. It'll be very nice if you could help me.

My specs are:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, Bios F16j
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060, 6GB with latest web driver
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
OS: High Sierra 10.13.6

I'm no expert on hackintosh so maybe it'll be helpful if you or anyone who knows could advise me what to do.

Thanks and have a nice evening.

Things I've tried so far:

  • FixShutdown on Clover Configurator (nothing happened so I've unchecked it again)
  • Darkwake =3 / =10 / =0 (nothing happened)
Hi , did you fix the issue? same situation

Hello

This P1LGR1M plist save my life!
I used to make some adjustments on my own config.plist

My Setup:

ASUS B360M-Plus
i5.8600
16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
IntelGraphics UHD630
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

[ACPI]
*Mark 'FixShutDown'
*Remove 'Halt Enabler' and closest options
*Mark only 'FixHeaders'
*Add Signature 'MATS' on Drop Tables window
*Mark 'PluginType' on Generate Options

[BOOT]
*Arguments (-v dart=0 -no_compact_check darkwake=0)
*Removed all other options
*Mark 'NeverHibernate'
*Mark 'Debug'

I hope this help someone :)
