Did you do direct update method? Or did you make a usb installer? If usb installer method, how did you make the usb installer? After public beta 1 I could only use the creatinstallmedia method. Couldn't make it in disk utility restore and replace packages alias method anymore. Also this error can and will be thrown sometimes when the dates in the macOS Install Data/OSInstallAttr.plist don't match up as explained here by Pike https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/2017/08/05/osinstall-mpkg-appears-to-be-missing-or-damaged/

I recommend remaking the USB installer from scratch or deleting the installer app from application folder and redownloading it. unless you wanna give Pike's method a try.

built the drive 2x , second attempt was with a fresh download of the app

solved:
turns out i had an older clover on the usb?
odd because i used the latest unibeast installer
the fix was to install the latest clover on the hd reboot to installer
have a snack
install web driver(nvidia)


just need to address the audio(realtek 892)...

I have a different board but same audio - running multibeast (after booting from main disk) and selecting only the 892 audio driver) and rebooting again got it working.

should be using alc130 script for High Sierra if I'm not mistaken but glad you got it going. Sorry if I pointed you in the wrong direction.
