Hi everyone!

I have Lion 10.7.2 running on a ASUS P7P55D-e LX board with a Core i5, 16GB RAM, a GTX260 and as a Mac pro owner I couldn't be happier.

The only thing that bugs me: If I plug in headphones into the front panel, speakers are not muted for general sound. But they are for system alerts!

Anyone any ideas to solve this?

VoodooHDA installed?

Yes. DSDT install via Multibeast. VoodooHDA (several versions tested). System sees line-out (back) and also line-in (front) but no line-out (front).

Tell you what...i havn't any idea about your MoBo, perhaps you ask some of our Mod's "beelzebozo". -> http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=2067 Don't PM him, ask your question on his Thread please.

One thing...did you connected the Frontpanel through your MoBo?

Re: Headphones not muting speakers

Solved. VoodooHDA 2.7.2 installed and speakers plugged into black line-out back.

Edit: Went back to 2.6.2. In this case the orange plug has Volume control and mutes when headphones are plugged in. Sound chip on the P7P55D-E LX mobo is the VIA VT1708S.
