Hi,

Recently built a Hackintosh with the i7 7700k and the z270 IX Maximus Code motherboard and everything is working great apart from my graphics card (GTX 1080)

When I boot into MacOs, it doesn't recognise the GTX 1080 but says "Nvidia Chip Model 5MB" under 'About this mac'

I have installed the Nvidia drivers. Initially it wouldn't let me switch to the Nvidia web drivers but then I followed problem 6 on this guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.161256/
This allowed me to switch to the Nvidia drivers but although they are currently selected, it has made no difference.

Maybe it has something to do with what I did here? https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...cpus-200-series-motherboards-in-macos.211743/

Also, it currently runs at 1280 x 1024 resolution instead of the 4k native resolution of my screen.

I have attached my config.plist file for clover and some images that might help. Thanks.

Having the same problem, been trying several different SMBIOS settings. If I InjectNvidia it shows the card type, but the system still seems to boot slow. Also getting graphical glitches throughout the screen when I move stuff around etc.

Your config.plist is injecting Intel - Deselect that.
Your config.plist also has nv_disable=1 - No way for the Nvidia drivers to work if you disable them.
Your config.plist also has a IntelGFX Fake ID of 0x19168086 - Delete that

If I InjectNvidia it shows the card type
Do not inject Nvidia.

So pretty much just remove what i put in to get the integrated graphics to work yes?

Thank you very much! That is it fixed now!

hello
I have the same problem as him.
It would turn black after -v with the code nvda_drv=1.
It only can boot with nv_disable=1.
Thanks if you could help me.

It is hard to help those who will not help themselves.
The information is there but your config.plist is wrong.

0MB VRAM means you have Inject/Nvidia/True when it should be false.
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
