Greetings,

First time hackintosher, I built this machine about 1.5months ago, and had a few problems early on but was able to get the audio working through selecting 'internal speakers' and plugging an auxiliary cable into the green audio out port. I have tried installing the ALC 1150 kext, but it still has no output.

Any Help is appreciated!

I don't get it, the 'Internal speakers' is the green audio port which (in my case) turns into the 'Headphone port' if I use the front panel. As far as I know your audio works perfectly fine, could you elaborate on your problem?

Hey guys, I have a very similar issue here. I completed my install last night, got my video drivers squared away and my only problem is Audio right now.

As OP stated, I did the realtec 1150 kext in Multibeast but it is only showing that I can output audio over HDMI.

As you can see, it also gives me Airplay options, which I wouldn't mind, but I would need audio to be piped into "Apple Tv Old School" (which is a first gen Apple Tv that I have run RCA (component) audio cables to my stereo receiver.

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong with On-Board audio??

Also, if it is easier I don't mind getting another sound card/interface. Can anyone make a suggestion for one that has supported drivers?

Thanks so much!

This is an amazing community, I've gone from having flickering screen problems to having excellent video just because of the wealth of knowledge articulated really well through this forum. Thank you so much everyone who helps out!

Jack.

Installed MultiBeast Voodoo, remove.
Try MultiBeast 7 - Select: Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > √ ALC1150
