SOLVED: big thanks to iPinas for all the help!

Hey everyone,

First post and my first attempt at creating a hackintosh, I've put a MATX board into a Blue and White G3 case.

Parts:
Gigabyte MATX GA-H61M-S2V-B3 H61 (Firmware: F2)
Intel i5 2400 3.1GHz
Crucial 4GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 x 2
Sapphire HD 5670 1GB GDDR5
Belkin F8T017 Bluetooth Adapter

Drives:
OCZ 60GB Agility 3 SSD
1TB WD
500GB WD

OSX:
10.6.8

My system, apart from sound, is working splendidly.

I've tried reinstalling ALC8xxHDA and AppleHDA Rollback via MB but no joy, I've also tried installing ALC889 but to no avail.

Also my internal drives are appearing as external drives, I can even eject them if I want to, I take it this is just part and parcel of using a Hackintosh?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers!

Re: GA-H61M-S2V-B3 - No Sound

Hi. Did you use the corresponding dsdt.aml file for your motherboard's bios version?
I got my sound to work by choosing ALC8xxHDA and AppleHDA Rollback in Multi-Beast. I also used the userDSDT way.

As for the orange drive fix, take a look at this:

I used Option 4: Lnx2Mac 'Vanilla' solution... Assigning a custom icon.

Try running Kext Utility to repair permissions. Also, look at your
(Snow Leopard Drive)/Extra/Extensions folder and delete other Audio Enabler kexts.
Mine only has one and it's just ALC8xxHDA.kext in there. Then run Kext Utility again.
