So I decided to update my Hackitosh from 10.13.1 to 10.13.3. Followed Stork's instruction on updating. However, after choosing "Install macOS from (your drive name)" from clover menu, Apple logo would appear giving the impression on booting to the log in screen however crashing and rebooting. This would go on for hours.

The only fix I have done is to restore the machine using Time Machine backup to 10.13.1 again :(.

Has anyone experience the same issue and may have a fix?

Let me know if you need any more details to help.

I tried screen capturing verbose mode with no luck... I had to use slow mo on the iPhone to capture it. Also had issues uploading here- so please find the clip via this link

Looks like the problem is the Lilu.kext which should be updated :

Boot with -liluoff then update it together with any dependent kexts.

P1LGRIM - You're a total legend. Issue is solved

after updating lilu, I disabled lilu throughout the installation process with -liluoff. Only reactivating it once the whole update process was complete. Now self boots into OS with all kext active.

Thank you again!!!!
