Hi. I just installed high sierra on my dell g7 laptop. But I'm having issues with the audio. It's very unstable. After I installed AppleALC kext with the appropriate SSDT patches, the audio is working. But when I reboot the audio stops working completely, I have to reboot again to have it working again. Sometimes it even takes a few reboots and cold boots (turning off the laptop completely, not restart) to get audio to work again. Is there something wrong with my configuration? Problem reporting files attached, thanks for your help.

[SOLVED]: Turns out I have to put Lilu, AppleALC, and CodecCommander kexts to /EFI/Clover/kexts for consistent audio across reboots. After observing the kernel log I think what happened is that CodecCommander.kext is not loaded early enough (if put in S/L/E) to initialize the audio codec properly, hence no audio.

I'm going to open a new thread since I still have issue with sleep on my Dell G7

Kexts should be installed to /L/E as per FAQ:

Hi iputupremaananda,
I'm really new to hackintosh thing but I'm trying to install Mac OS on my Dell G7. Can you share the step you have took or point me to the guide/instructions you have used?
I've tried this one: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.235474/ So far I can't get the USB drive to boot. I'm trying UEFI boot but it doesn't recognise the USB drive as bootable.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"
