[SOLVED!!!] Dead Firewire problem after sleep/wake up.

Has anyone been tempted to try a recent new DSDT and a BIOS update to see if that changes the firewire / sleep issue?

My board has an F6 BIOS release and there's a new F7 DSDT now. I'm really tempted to try it but as everything else is fine it feels a bit risky to start messing with a newer BIOS; especially as the F7 only says it adds support for the newest CPU's.

Any thoughts?

I have a F8 BIOS (and DSDT) and I see the same firewire GUID issue so I don't think a BIOS upgrade will help you at all.

i'm running a fire face through my firewire port, but mine doesn't even get recognized. how'd you get yours to work? when i go to the sound options i don't get any options for input or output devices.

wow how'd you get your firewire to work? is it a bios thing or is it supposed to work automatically? i have a TI XIO2213 firewire card and i haven't been able to get it working =(

Thanks for this. I bought mine today. :D

hello, i have similar problem with LaCie FireWire 400 PCI, and it has TI chipset as well. Is here anybody with this card with the post-sleep working correctly?

I never updated to Lion 10.7.3, still being on 10.7. Would the update solve this problem? Or should I really change for the Syba card.

my motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3

considering Syba cards, would any of them with Texas Instruments chipset work?
this one? http://www.amazon.com/SD-LP-TIFWB-Profi ... B001JTTVS8

I don't want to give a guaranteed yes/no answer because I haven't personally tried that one... so let us know if it also works.
