[solved] Brightness keys not working on 10.13.6

So I installed ACPI keyboard , applied the patch , but Fn brightness down sets the brightness up and Fn brightness up sets the brightness up too but also sets the volume down

ACPIKeyboard.kext is not necessary, but it works if you send codes for F14/F15 instead of the old brightness NX codes (those stopped working a long time ago).

Problem solved , used the second patch

You must mean you used the recommended codes specifically for ApplePS2SmartTouchpad.kext...
