I'm putting together a new system and my Unibeast stick endlessly reboots without reaching the Clover boot screen. I've tried several sticks, several ports and nothing. I've gone over my BIOS, unplugged, pulled the battery. No love.

The hard drive from my last hack will get me to the Clover boot screen and attempt to launch my old system (7 series, High Sierra, fried by massive surge), but it hangs at the Apple logo.

Any thoughts? I'm hosed if I can't get running soon.

The message I get from clover before the screen goes black and the system eventually reboots:

APFSStart:1456: Mounting with apfs_efi_osx-748.77.8
efi_container_create:1079: -efi_container_create, Status = 800000000000000000007

The system in your link uses an Asus mobo. What should I be looking for in that thread?
You both use the Z370 chipset with an i7-8700 processor.
You could always use the forum search tool for a guide that is a better match.

Thanks Pilgrim - all the guides I've come across assume the system will reach the Clover boot menu which I can't seem to get to from a Unibeast USB.
You have either a hardware problem, a BIOS settings problem or an incorrectly constructed USB installer on the face of it.
