[solved] Big Sur boot issue when update to Lilu 1.5

Hi,
I can boot with Lilu 1.4.9 with no issue but not when update to Lilu 1.5 (with other kexts)
Boot take more than 5 minutes and CPU is running at max frequency

The only workaround I have found is to update all kext but Lilu
Any idea where to look ?

Hi,

as you can see im using Lilu 1.5.1 and is working great.
The kext that doesnt work for me at the moment is WhateverGreen 1.4.7, my laptop just panic like in your case, but that is not yet released so im using 1.4.6.

Where did you get the updates of the kexts because

you can get the latest OC and kext versions with the OCbuilder app

The issue with Lilu 1.5 is now better known : the race-condition in select kext detection during patching has been modified in Lilu 1.5 :

For some reasons Lilu 1.5 may apply patch later than 1.4.9, making the issues (extra long boot time and CPU running at max frequency)
No idea how to solve at his time.

As an update, BT4LEContinuityFixup.kext was the issue with Lilu 1.5 (for some reasons)
Now working when :

• BT4LEContinuityFixup : remove or disable (no longer supported)
• ExtendBTFeatureFlags : enable
