[Solved] Best system definition?

Is there a preferred system definition to use when installing macOS Sierra. I've been using 14,2 but I've had both audio and video problems, so I wondered if that choice might be contributing to the problem.

My motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H v1.1

I use iMac12,2 with my Z77-DS3H.

I have absolutely no idea what I did differently this 128th time I installed Sierra, but this time the sound works, the 2nd display works, the resolution works, and everything is perfect! (Knock on wood!)

Oh, and I did use iMac 14,2 after all.
