A few weeks ago I upgraded to 10.12.6 (clean install) and I started getting random restarts. I have been using 10.12.6 for a few weeks and I am getting random restarts when using the cpu above 80% It happens when I am editing pics in Lightroom or encoding videos in Adobe Media Encoder. I never had these issues in 10.12.3. After the computer restarts there is no crash log after I log back in but all the apps that were open prior to the restart open up. I managed to take screen shots from Console. Do you have an idea on why these crashes are happing on 10.12.6. I highlighted the time where it crashed

When I did the clean install I had to disabled CSMSupport otherwise I could not get the 970 to work

CPU temp doesn't go past 65 degrees.
Tried changing XMP to profile 1 and no change.

Last night I ran a geekbench stress test for 3 hours and the computer did not restart. I also exported 3000 raw pics to jpg and no crash. This leads me to believe the crashes are not related to the CPU.

I've got the same issue with my Intel hd530 build. I've installed a clean OS Sierra 10.12.5, and still rebooting randomly. I' don't understand if it's causing the graphic driver or whatelse
Were you ever on 10.12.0 to 10.12.3? Those builds were rock solid on my rig.

What bios firmware are you on?

It caused by HDMI sound crashing. I had the same issue. Fixed by patching the port to block it from trying to work.

That's a one port patch for display port... you may need to tweak it. once I stopped my HDMI port from trying to load the sound driver the random reboots stopped. You may need to do some searching to find the solution for your motherboard.

HDMI sound will crash even if I have the intel gpu disabled in bios? I am using a GTX 970

I'm at 10.12.5 in the HD530 build where rebooting and at AMD R9 280x 3gb build with 10.12.6 works like a charm. I don't understando_O

that is strange. What bios version are they both on?

can you post your efi folder from the AMD R9 280x 3gb build? just to compare notes.

My MOBO is Asus but I can't see it now, sorry. At Intel HD530 build I updated to the last because to try, but nothing changes.

This is my config.plist from EFI partition from AMD build
