I'm thinking of getting a second video card to run in SLI (for Win7, of course), and I haven't been able to find a lot of info regarding SLI and Lion, other than "No. It doesn't work." I'm curious though - is it possible to boot with the SLI bridge attached (and just have two graphics cards - not parallel processing), or does the bridge need to be removed at every boot?

Can anyone direct me to some reading regarding this? Is it really impossible?

Yes, this is possible. I have dual 560 ti's in SLI for Windows, and my 10.7.2 install just sees them as separate cards. I don't remember exactly how I got it to work, but try searching for the "gfxutil" program. It's a terminal program, and tells you where your video cards are installed with regard to the PCI Root.

This is the link I used: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8660

I just changed the values to read "GTX 560 ti" instead of "GTX 470"
