Okay giving that a shot.

OK I did what you said. I completely erased the SSD. Tried to install and still got the error at 2 min. Here is the latest log file in case something changed. Thanks for the help. Today is the day. I can feel it.

The logs say you used HFS Extended to format your SSD.

You must use GUID partition map and "APFS" only (not case-sensitive nor encrypted)

Also, make sure you have "ApfsDriverLoader.efi" in your EFI/CLOVER/drivers/UEFI/ folder.

Code:
Mar 3 09:55:17 iMac-Pro Disk Utility[626]: Initialized /dev/rdisk0s2 as a 931 GB case-insensitive HFS Plus volume with a 81920k journal
Mar 3 09:55:17 iMac-Pro Disk Utility[626]: Mounting disk
Mar 3 09:55:17 iMac-Pro Disk Utility[626]: Creating a new empty APFS Container
Mar 3 09:55:17 iMac-Pro Disk Utility[626]: Unmounting Volumes
Mar 3 09:55:18 iMac-Pro storagekitd[627]: Couldn't get physicalStoreUUID (SKAPFSStoreDisk { APFS UUID: --, CONTAINER UUID: --, DISK ID: disk0s2 } ): -69499

Yes I do have that in my driver folder.
and I selected APFS and GUID partition, but I will do it again right now just to make sure.

Boot with the Installation disk on your USB drive and after the language selector, Open Terminal in the menu and type:

Code:
diskutil list

Take a clear picture of the result (resize the window if necessary so all the informations can be seen)

Hope this helps

What version are you trying to install? (your title says 15.5.1?)

That's the installer version, not the actual Catalina version. My guess it is 10.15.5.

I found some other people having that issue and coincidentally they also tried to install on a 1TB SATA SSD.

Do you have, by any chance, another Sata disk you can try to install Catalina on?
