Hey guys,

I'm new to this Hackintoshing and I was wondering if anyone was kind enough to help me out. I built my computer like 4 months ago and it consists of:

Asus P8Z77-V (non pro)
i7 2700k (3.5 Ghz Sandy Bridge) (OC to 4.43Ghz)
4x4(16GB) Kingston HyperX Predator 2400Mhz RAM DDR3
EVGA GTX 660Ti 2GB
128GB SSD (Windows 7)
2TB HDD

I'm a video editor and I have to collaborate with other editors that use Mac software like Final Cut so I decided to Purchase a separate SSD to where I will be installing a Mac OS X because I don't plan on spending money on an overpriced Mac..

So my questions are:
  • Is my motherboard compatible with Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion?
  • Which one will meet my needs? (As far as Final Cut and video editing is concerned)
  • Is Snow Leopard easier to install than Mountain Lion? (I keep hearing that on forums)
  • Which one has the least troubleshooting involved?
  • Will current updates, for Final Cut or any other app, be compatible with Snow Leopard?
  • Will all drivers be installed with Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion?

If there is anyone out there that has the same motherboard as me and has installed Snow leopard or Mountain Lion, I would really really really appreciate it if you help me answer my questions about Hackintoshing my PC. Thanks...

for your mobo and gfx card, youll want (need) mountain lion

Thanks for your reply..

When you say 'need' can you specify why?

Does your mobo work well with mountain lion?

Thanks again..

there are not drivers in snow leopard for your graphics card at all.
so, you need to be on mtn lion

you dont want my board, its old.
the board youve got will work in mtn lion, and itll work well

thanks a lot for the info.

That's good stuff... thanks again
