SMBIOS recommendation

I have a Sandy Bridge cpu+mobo but with a GTX 1050ti video card running 10.12.4 sierra

Currently I have the 12,2 system definition (iMac sandy bridge i5 + Radeon 6770m)

However the 13,2 system definition (iMac ivy bridge i5 + GTX 750m) looks to be more consistent with my rig

So my simple question is do I need to match CPU or GPU first when choosing SMBIOS definition

I'd say match the CPU first. But in general with SMBIOS definitions, "don't fix it if it ain't broke".

well the mouse was feeling a bit jittery, unlike yosemite (my last version till a week back) which was buttery smooth, so I wen't ahead and changed it to 13,2 and it does feel like my old 'semite again, arguably the best one for my board. Lost USB3 in trade for a 1050ti in Sierra.

Anyhow geek bench results are interesting though.....
