Sleep problem with SL on a ASUS P7P55D board [SOLVED]

Hi guys,

I installed the SL 10.6.4 on my hackintosh using tony's guide (Multibeat+iBoot). Everything works fine except that I can't properly sleep or shut down my system. I'm using the DSDT file downloaded from this site. Any idea what I might do to get this fixed?

I played with BIOS setting. I tired SleepEnabler.kext. No luck yet. Reboot works though.

I would avoid using a DSDT, unless you know what to edit in it.

You don't need to use it if you install the appropriate kexts. And, chances are that if you've updated your bios 1702, that the DSDT might not even be up to date.

Check out my 10.6 - 10.6.4 tutorial. It shows what kexts to install to get everything working, including sleep.

Thanks, beelzebozo. Looks like that's the problem. My BIOS version is 1702.

I'll give it a try without DSDT tonight.

Glad to report that everything is now working after I removed DSDT.aml from /extra. Thanks, beelzebozo!!
