Sleep/Lid closing not working.

I'I am unable to get the sleep function to work when I close the lid of the laptop. Also, I have the brightness working but I am unable to find a shortcut or create one in system preferences to adjust it. I have to go into display to adjust it.

Any help appreciated.

No ioreg in your debug ZIP. Please check your files before upload.

Because when I use Macbook Pro 13,1 in kernel panics and reboots. I haven't looked into why it's doing that yet.
