Hey everyone, I have a Silverstone FT03 case holding my hackintosh together. On the top panel it has an audio input and an audio output, both of which do not function in OS X. As a heads-up I am still running 10.7.5 Lion, not sure if this matters or not. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus V Gene running DSDT Free, with the flashed bios (again not sure if that matters). So does anyone have an idea of what is going on? You guys are great, thanks for your time! When I head into my audio settings I have the following options:

Output:
Internal Speakers
Line Out
Line Out
Digital Out

Input:
Internal Microphone
Line In

How is the front panel audio connected to the motherboard (AC97 or HD Audio)? What version is S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext (Finder/File/Get Info)? What version of MultiBeast did you use to install audio?

HD Audio connection type, Multibeast 4.6.1 Lion Edition, had trouble finding the S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext information you wanted. I'm not sure if this helps but i'm using ALC898 for my motherboard.

Select S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext, Finder/File/Get Info.

What happens to System Preferences/Sound/Output/Internal Speakers when you plug the headphones into the front panel green jack?

I'm sorry, but when I put S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext, into the finder search nothing comes up. Tried looking for it a few other ways but no luck. Sorry if I am being difficult. When I plug anything into the front two ports, either input or output, nothing happens headphones make a weird popping sound though.

Response is not helpful.

I do not know how to navigate to S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext
