Hi
If you are having problems installing Sierra or El Capitan in a Gigabyte H170N-Wifi, like black screens, prohibition sign and so on, I can told you what I have done to make it work.
I'm no expert, so I really "don't know what I'm doing" but it (until now) works. I don't know if there's other solution, but this is that work for me. I have not yet tried Bluetooth, audio, ethernet and many other things, but at least, after two days trying I have been able to install Sierra on my system.
So that is what I have done:
1 - Upgrade BIOS to F4. I don't know if it could works with F3, but in this new version theres a IOAPIC option under "Chipset" menu that it seems you must disable. (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-problem-with-unibeast-install-on-h170n-wifi.198682/page-2)
2 - Put Sierra installation not in a USB stick, but, maybe using and external USB case, on a SSD or HD that you can later install internally with SATA on your system. It don't work for me on any of USB-3 terminals and every time crash or stop during initial installation.
3 - Install Clover (I used r3763 and it worked) and later change that :
- Use 14,2 UEFI config (you can find it there https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-create-a-macos-sierra-public-beta-installation-usb.195077/)
- Put FakeSMC, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and Ethernet kext on Clover\Other in EFI (you can find it in the same page https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-create-a-macos-sierra-public-beta-installation-usb.195077/). Put also USBInjectAll.kext on Clover\Other in EFI (you can find it there USBInjectAll.kext)
(maybe some of these files is not needed, but it worked for me with they and I don't try without)
4 - Put the installation disc inside your machine together with the final disc, restart, choose installation disc you made and install
Now I'm going to try to advance
