Shuttle SZ170 R8 as a Hackintosh?

Hi,

looking into creating a hackintosch based on a small but powerful system.

It will be used for gaming (also via DualBoot with Windows10) and for Video Editing.

I would like to use a Shuttle SZ170 R8 together with an AddOn Graphics card.

Questions would be:

a) will the OSX support the Shuttle, preferable with the addon Wireless card http://www.shuttle.eu/products/xpc-accessories/wln-p/

b) which Graphic Card would you suggest (supports PCI-Express x16 v3.0 slot, double slot wide, 6 Pin Power connector)

Do I just need to check the chips on the hardware to figure out the support?
Are there any gotchas?
Long time ago I did build my own computers, but that was a long time ago, latest was a dual opteron (single Core) system, so I'm a little rusty concerning actual hardware on the market.

I saw your post and was wondering if you created your hackintosh. I just bought the Shuttle SZ170R8 so i was just wondering.

not yet, my timeframe atm is summer. I checked a little. In theory it should work except the wlan-p card, where you could probably get wlan and perhaps bluetooth, but as it seems no handoff etc..

at least I guess, I just started reading in here.. let me know how your hackintosh comes along.

OK, Just ordered my PC. Will get it end of the week ; so i will be spending next weekend turning it into a hackintosh!! Will keep you posted for sure!

I have been folloing the unibeast instructions on one of these with no luck. Stalls on the OS X loading screen.

Well, mine also stall at the loading screen. progress bar not moving and USB light not blinking. grrrrr
