Should I use GUID or MBR for my bootable installation disk?

I have tried MBR and APM(Apple Partition Map) for my bootable installation disk (Sierra 10.12.5) yet...my GA-Z97-HD3 (BIOS F8) says there is no bootable device when booting (UEFI only) or it goes into a black screen with a blinking cursor (UEFI first).

I cannot use GUID partition map because Unibeast 7.1.1 says it can only be created on a Apple HFS removable disk...I read some guides where people have the same motherboard and same BIOS version, with MBR bootable installation disk...I am not sure where it goes wrong.

This is the flash drive that I am using (Kingston Data Traveler 2.0 Media):

Here's what works for me on my GA-Z97X motherboard. Are you following Step 2 exactly as shown here:

You should also try using a 16GB Sandisk USB 2.0 flash drive if possible. They always work for me without problems. You can also adjust your BIOS/UEFI for both legacy and UEFI booting. Hit F12 after powering on and choose your UEFI USB drive.

Thanks for the speedy reply and yes I chose OS X Extended (Journaled) when I erase my flash drive in diskutil (GUI), yet like I said, when I chose GUID as the scheme, Unibeast 7.1.1 will report an error says no removable disk with HSF partition found with 7GB+...

Then you need a bigger flash drive with enough room on it. Get a 16 GB drive.
