Should I buy all my software again?

Hi Guys,
I just finished installing Lion on my new machine. It worked nice!
I own a MBP and have a lot of software in it. Including VMWare Fusion, with which I run Windows 7. I have a backup of my MBP with TimeMachine. Can I hook the backup drive where my MBP is stored to my new Hackintosh? THis would bring all my programs and files to my new Hackintosh. This would be convenient but don't want to screw my recently installed Lion. What do you think?

Yeah, there shouldn't be any problems. You'll have to use the 'Migration Assistant' application in the Utilities folder. Make sure you have enough space, and it should transfer anything like preferences, applications, etc.
