This is my first attempt at a build.

I purchased the components over a period of several weeks -- almost all as combo offers, on sale, or with rebate. I don't plan to overclock (yet?), so could have gone with a i7-4771 except for the combo deal I found with the motherboard (thanks Newegg!)... and using the stock Intel cooler for now. I might have purchased faster memory too, but got one with the CPU/motherboard deal, and rebates on the other three.

I plan to switch to another keyboard.

9/17/2013: I'll update this post with my install notes so far and as I make progress.

Awesome! I very interested on how it's turned out. I've been reading a lot lately that these gigabyte boards are having issues when all 4 ram slots are full.


Have you had any issues with this??? Thanks!
