I know I'm replying to an almost year old thread, but I can supply an answer to this question. In my experience, the C206 chipset can not work with Mac OS X. When I finally was able to get an HP Z210 Workstation (C206-based) to boot from a Unibeast USB stick (which took a lot of trial and error), Disk Utility couldn't see any other drive besides the Unibeast USB.
