Why not just use a EFI-String for Intel HD3000?
No more worries! :)

<key>device-properties</key>
<string>600000000100000001000000540000000100000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04001e00

10070000</string>
Do you have any idea on how to create EFI string for HD2000?

Re: SB Intel HD 2000/3000 Onboard Graphics Testing! [DOWNLOAD]

I did not create this one myself. I found it online while searching for more info on Lion.
Unfortunatley, i can't remember where i got it from.
I made my own for my desktop card, as at the time there was no support for it in Chameleon.
Try EFI Studio. That's what i used for my NVidia GT230.

EFI Studio doesn't creates strings for Intel graphics cards, unfortunately.

Re: SB Intel HD 2000/3000 Onboard Graphics Testing! [DOWNLOAD]

did anyone have any luck with a HD2000 already?

I don't have HD2000 to try, but the device codes to try for HD2000 are 0x0102 and 0x0106. The kext uses different code for those two devices codes, so try both to see how well they work.

Ah ok. Not sure if there is any other app that can help you. Some of the tools need updates for sure.

Re: SB Intel HD 2000/3000 Onboard Graphics Testing! [DOWNLOAD]

I used this Guide to get the HD 3000 in my Dell XPS 502x working. I have an Intel i5 2410m. After doing this Guide my Intel Graphiccard is listed correctly. I used the DSDT free way and edited my ID 0116 in.

I uploaded a Picture of what my Screen is looking now. It is all green and i can only see 2/3 of the screen, i can change the resolution all the way to my native of 1920 but the problem stays the same. The System overview show my Processor is listed right Intel i5, it show the Intel HD 3000 is recoqnised right with 384mb of ram. My laptop gets shown as an MBP 13" early 2011.

Anyone has a fix for this or some tips what to do?

When i remove the fixed SNB FB kext everything went back to normal -> No SNB buffer found, Intel HD 3000 not recognized, max resolution 1024x768 but colors and screen orientation are fine.

Tony could u edit your kext for the i2500 so it use the LVDS port? I think my problem is something with the connectors.

so i get full resolution in safe boot, but no acceleration. system would not boot without safe boot but i installed the i5 next and now it boots under normal mode but only 1024x768 resolution. it doesn't load the next on startup says library dependencies are messed up. any thoughts?

This is the same problem that I have no matter what I do (see previous posts). In Switchresx it sees the built-in display as unknown but all the parameters are correct for the screen as well as the timings. System info identifies everything correctly and the dsdt and the kext have the correct ID 0x01168086. The HDMI port works perfectly. I can even change all the resolutions on the laptop separately and move the main desktop between screens . It is just too wide horizontally with the rainbow of colors. I guess it means that the connectors are not identified correctly in the frame buffer. This is using the LION box graphics texts. posting.php?mode=quote&f=15&p=174164#

Yeah guys, I have the same issue with my Alienware M14X, i2635QM, HD 3000 - Same exact screen problem. I went back to my Snow Leopard 10.6.8 partition for now until something is revealed because I have been looking for a fix for 2 weeks now. I have tried everything I could think of. Weird. Tony, or someone, if you could point us in the direction of a possible solution that would be great.
