Wohooo, it worked, thanks so much!

My System:
i7-2600K
Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.1)

This is what I have set at the moment:
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key><string>No</string> in boot.plist
Mac Pro 3,1 as identifier

I set the ID to 0x0122 for my Intel HD3000

Hello !.

I'm trying' to install kext you add in your first post but It never appears in "Extensions" like in your photos.

I'm working with 10.6.5 ... ¿it's only for a specific version?.

I've used Kext utility. I search in files and the .kext file exists in "Extensions" folder. :(

Can you explain how did you do it?

Thanks

My card Intel HD 3000

Finally working.

My System:

Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

This is what I have set at the moment:
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key><string>Yes</string> in boot.plist
Mac Pro 3,1 as identifier

I set the ID to 0x0122 for my Intel HD3000 in the Info.plist for the kext

There are three instances of "IOPCIPrimaryMatch" in the Info.plist of the kext. Which one did you modify to add the device ID ?

Try patching the device ID for your CPU into the info.plist inside the kext if you have a different CPU other than the i5-2500K.

The kext in the first post is patched for HD 3000 device ID 0x0012 from the i5-2500K.

So just modify it to suit your cpu- search for 0x0012 in that prepatched info.plist inside the kext. You can find your cpu's device id through IORegistryExplorer.

I'm pretty sure there are many ids for HD2000/3000 depending on your CPU. The HD 3000 they use in the new MacBook Pro and Air is 0x0016.

Success!!

i have i5-2410 Asus Notebook with HD3000 (id: 0x0116). I was achieving the same thing with disabling the WebCam and CardReader from Bios Before. If i was enableing these in bios i was getting SNB Framebuffer error and no resolution but now I got the full resolution and enabled WebCam as well as CardReader. But I am not getting the QE/CI yet. I am using Lion by the way. Is there a chance to get QE/CI? Also any word on Nvidia Optimus? I have GTX520M Nvidia in my notebook.

You are the best, tony.

Edit: By the way I defined 0x0116 instead of 0x0012 if anyone have the same as mine.

Re: SB Intel HD 2000/3000 Onboard Graphics Testing! [DOWNLOAD]

just trying to start with this setup:

- GA-H67N-USB3-B3 ITX
- Core i3-2100
- 4GB RAM

It HAS TO work, the new Mac Mini has the same HD2000 in it (i5-2500T).
Any positive comments welcome :geek:

I did some experimenting before the Lion release- there are a bunch of new things for graphics we can enable- onboard, AMD 69xx, GTX 5xx, etc... With patched SNB Framebuffer kext it works with QE/CI. Some OpenGL errors on my Sandy Bridge System below. Patch is for Core i5-2500K. Good luck everyone! Didn't have much time to test so here you go- we'll get a version that works well into MultiBeast together!

Please report any and all success/failure/feelings/thoughts.

Install over your existing FB kext using your favorite kext installer- mine's KextBeast. ;)

You guys rock! :headbang:

Hi Tony,

I was looking over bcc9's method on insanelymac.com and seems like the method is dependant on the SMboardproduct key. He used one for a macbook pro. <string>Mac-94245B3640C91C81</string>

When I changed my smbios to have the have SMboardproduct I had four connection available. Still did not get full QE/CI. Can't play videos. Any idea where we can find more of these SMboardproduct keys?
