Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 Compatible?

Is the Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 compatible with OS X?
I've been thinking about buying a GTX670 but the Radeon 7870 is much cheaper and is enough for what I'll use it for.
Or is there any other cheap card that is recommended or is it worth to go with a GTX670?
