hey all, my first post!
Below are the the parts I am considering for a Snow Leopard build using Sandy Bridge i7-2600K processor. I would like to know if these parts indeed will work together, and optimally for my needs:

The system, once completed will be maxed out with 32GB RAM, have a 4-drive internal RAID-0 added. It will be used for video: Final Cut, After Effects and CG: Cinema 4D R13.

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3

- or -
GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128502

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6870

Power Supply: OCZ 600watt ModXStream Pro

Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc

RAM: Corsair Vengence Blu 1600Mhz DDR3 (4GB)

Case: SILVERSTONE Fortress Series FT01-B
-or- COOLER MASTER Storm Sniper
-or- Thermaltake Level 10 GT

CPU cooler: Scythe Shuriken CPU Cooler

HDD: 1TB SATA drive to be determined

THANKS in advance!
Can't wait to finally get the latest and greatest hardware running on OSX!

All looks good. I'd suggest getting an SSD for the boot drive and the video editing applications, while keeping the data on the larger drives. It will dramatically speed up access times within the program. Also, I'd go with the GA-Z68X-UD3H for a motherboard, but both of those will work as well.

hah, that is my plan exactly! But I want to wait for prices to go down a little before I get a bunch of 2TB's for my RAID.

Any reason why you recommend the GA-Z68X-UD3H ?
(I know nothing about either)

thx!
