Ok. So i`m thinking of building a MacMini. One for me and one for my friend. I have a little shopping list
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 8GB CL9 Kit w/2x 4GB XMS3, CL9-9-9-24, for Phenom II and Core i3/i5/i7, 1.5v
Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3-B3, Socket-1155 mini-ITX, H67, DDR3, 1xPCIe(2.0)x16, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, VGA, DVI, HDMI
Intel® Core™ i3-2100 Processor Socket-LGA1155, Dual Core, 3.1Ghz, 3MB, 65W, Boxed w/fan
Seagate Barracuda® 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0), 32MB Cache, 7200RPM, 3,5"
Silverstone Sugo SG05B Mini-ITX Sort Vifte: 1x 120mm Front, 450W, 80 Plus, Mini-ITX, Mini-DTX, 1x 6-pin PCIe
Sony Optiarc DVD±RW/Blu-Ray Reader 5540H SATA, 6x Blu-Ray Read, DVD±R: 8x, DVD+RW: 8x, Bulk, Slim Line, BLACK
+
ZOTAC GeForce GT 430 1GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 2.0, "ZONE Edition", DDR3, 2xDVI, mini-HDMI, Heatsink
or
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 550Ti 1GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 2.0, GDDR5, 2xDVI, HDMI, DisplayPort
Ok. so i`m well familiar with the SnowLeopard and Lion install, but have none experience with Nvidia graphics + OS X. I saw a thread in the Custom Mac section that someone had built almost the exact same project, using the ZOTAC GeForce GT 430 card. The only reference to the Graphics card was "Installed the latest Nvidia drivers"
That raises a couple questions. What is the install method for nvidia cards? Do i just install the NVEnabler from Multibeast to get graphics acceleration?
Second. Does anyone have any experience with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 550Ti card? Does it work well?
For what i have read, integrated intel HD graphics from the sandy bridge i3 is working? So if i want to start of on a budget i can put the video card on hold, for now?
Found the tread for nVidia 5xx cards. Sorry for not searching before posting
