The lack of answer may indicate that no-one has tried yet. Given what happened with the previous generations of PM9x1 drives, it may be a risky endeavour. There are also reports of 980 drives being destroyed in about one month in a hackintosh, for lack of proper TRIM under macOS.

PS. The RX 6500 XT is not supported by macOS.

I have tried this drive on Big Sur. Installs without any problem, trim is enabled by default(at least it shows enabled in system report) But the performance is terrible. Boot time about 70s and overall short freezes of system even opening apps folder from dock takes 2-3 sec.
Changed to WD sn750 and works like a charm.
