Im gonna build a hackintosh to use with octane render and after efeccts.
i9 10900k
Gigabyte z590 Gaming x
64g ram
2x 6700 xt.

I need big sur to work with Octane render. have support 6700 xt in that version?

Not yet, only the 6800, 6800XT and 6900XT models are working now in 11.4 beta. The 6700XT has a different device IDand there is no support for it at this point.

The current version of Big Sur, 11.3, does not support RX 6000 series cards yet. The next update of Big Sur, 11.4, will have support for RX 6800 / RX 6800 XT / RX 6900 XT (but no mention of 6700 XT) :

Apple released the first developer beta of macOS 11.4 with the ability for Intel-based Macs to connect to GPUs that use AMD Navi RDNA2 architecture.

So do not expect any support for the new RX 6700 XT now or in the future unless Apple were to add support for it.

I have the 6700 XT, and it doesn’t work in 11.4 Beta 1. The 6700 XT is a Navi 22 product. The 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT are based on Navi 21.

At the time of writing, I have Big Sur 11.4 beta 2 installed and still no support for the 6700XT. We'll need to wait a bit more, I guess/hope.

AMD 6700 XT device ID (0x73DF) is present in AMDRadeonX6000FrameBuffer.kext (red box), but this alone is not sufficient. In early versions of Big Sur even the RX 6800, 6800 XT, and 6900 XT device ID (0x73BF) was present (yellow box) but actual support did not arrive until 11.4.

So the fact that NAVI 22 (6700 XT) device ID is present suggests that full support for this GPU may arrive soon, maybe in 11.5 or thereabouts.

Now that Apple has released the 11.5 beta, has anyone had the chance to check out if Apple added support for the 6700 cards?

Not yet, but willing to. As soon as it's available in the beta program, I'll install it and report back.
