RX 580 to RX6600XT worth it for my system?

Hi,

my system is on my signature, I'm a professional photographer working mainly with Photoshop and Lightroom.

Honestly it works just fine...but I feel the urge to upgrade something ...! Now with children, less time, Apple Silicon out...this is gonna be my last hackintosh I guess, I want to push it another 2/3 years and then it's gonna be an Apple machine.

Do you think it's worth to upgrade my graphics to an RX6600XT? Will I see any noticeable improvement in Adobe's software?

On a straight head-to-head comparison of the two GPU's you would have to say yes, it would be worth upgrading to the RX 6600 XT

Looking at the relative performance of the two GPU's TechPowerUp show 105% increase in performance when moving from the RX 580 to the RX 6600 XT. See the two screenshots below.

How the Adobe Software will utilise the new GPU is another matter. That all depends on your Workflow and work processes. If they don't require a lot of GPU grunt, then the RX 580 may be sufficient, adding the RX 6600 XT in to the mix may not show any major efficiencies/benefits.

If you have the funds upgrade the GPU, especially if you can claim it back as a business expense against your Tax.
