Hello everyone,

I updated the bios to support 13th & 14th Generation processors because I will probably change processors in the future, I am moving from an i3 12100F to i9 or I7 13th or 14th.

However, since updating the bios, the computer no longer starts on Sonoma 14.4, I reset the bios settings and put back the same parameters that I had on the old version.

The old version bios-2403
The new version bios-3202

When I go back to the old version everything is fine.

There is surely a parameter or a new configuration to be made in config.plist but I assure you that I have no idea ^^

I'm giving you my EFI file in case someone with experience wants to help me.

Thanks

Please update your profile to include your actual hardware specs.

Things that spring to mind :
You should reset NVRAM after a BIOS update.
SSDT files may no longer be valid, generate new ones.

Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.

Thanks for the info, I will generate other files and report back.

Same error with old ACPI or New ACPI

Thanks

Hello,
Your EFI folder seems to have files with older date.

Right now, OpenCore reached version 0.9.9 (stable)
You should rebuild your EFI folder replacing files not belonging to this version (create a USB stick for testing ).
So, OC vers 0.9.9 has files from 2024, March 11.

And, as suggested above, re-check BIOS settings, and generate new files (SSDTTime).
Also, Reset Nvram after each modification.

Here is the link:

Cheers :)

Opencore is in 0.9.9

I copied the files again: OpenCore.efi, OpenRuntime.efi, OpenCanopy.efi, BOOTx64.efi.
All my kexts are up to date too.

same error.

If accessible, make sure that Resizebar is disabled in the BIOS settings.

Check the following items :

OC/Drivers/AudioDxe.efi
OC/Drivers/ToggleSipEntry.efi
OC/Tools/*. ( the main four files are OK )

If you do not need some stuff do not keep it aging ...
