Hi all,

I have 2tb HDD with 200gb windows 7 and the rest is one partition where I have OS X home folder (system is on another drive). I want to resize partitions to 1tb/1tb. Reinstalling windows is not a problem, also I can create back-up of home partition.

Please advice the best way to resize partitions, thanks in advance.

When you originally formatted the 2Tb HDD, did you use the Windows disk manager on the installation disk of did you format it with OS X disk utility?

If you used the Windows disk utility, back up your home folder (better yet, move it back to the SSD)/ OS X files and anything else on the second partition.

Open the Windows disk management app, select the 2nd partition and delete the partition. This leaves behind free space. Increase the size of the windows C partition to 1Tb. In the free space left, create and format the new second partition.

Boot OS X and restore your files to the new second partition.

If you formatted the drive with OS X disk utility, your easiest course is to back up everything, reformat and partition the drive and re-install Windows, then restore your OS X folders.
