Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

It's not showing up. I have it installed on the motherboard. I have the cards as follows.
Nothing in the first slot.In 2nd slot is the UAD card, followed by the Apogee Symphony 64 card in the short pci slot and then lastly is the TPlink. I have tried it in the other slots and doesn't seem to make a difference.
I got the mouse working also by the way . Everything great now bar the wifi.

Support was dropped for the TP-Link WDN4800 with release of Mojave. There were some Atheros files made available for Mojave and Catalina, from High Sierra. But as far as I recall they stopped working in Big Sur.

Thanks for that. I did try it and think I did it correctly but didn't seem to work. I used Hackintool and tried to install the 1080211family.kext but I kept getting an error. Not really sure if I was doing it correctly. When it asks where to install the default is L/E so I choose that.
I get an error. Unable to stage kext. Driver extension is not approved to run.

You shouldn't be using /L/E for any kext injection. You should add them to your /EFI/OC/Kexts folder and config.plist.

I think I did something incorrectly. I added the family kext to kext folder in EFI/OC/KEXTS and also dragged it into Plist. Now when I boot , I get stuck at the Apple logo. How do I go about removing these kexts?

Disregard the booting issue . I booted from the USB, removed the kexts from plist etc and booting fine again.
Did I install the kexts incorrectly? Or the wrong ones? As I mentioned I put the family kext in efi/oc/kernels and
also dragged it into the plist.

This approach will not work. We should use a supported Broadcom WiFi/BT card such as Fenvi FV-T919 or FV-HB1200.

One of the ethernet ports is not working. Is there a way of fixing this?

Please see “Troubleshooting/ FAQs”:

Hi
My thunderbolt ports have stopped working for some reason. Have you come across this? I checked on two different devices, different cables and both ports.
