Repairing chips and scuffs on G5 case

I completed my G5 mod last summer, but I'm now wanting to do a few body mods, like painting and general tidying up...

Before priming and painting, I want to sort out a few dings and chips that were there when I acquired the case - I have attached a picture of such a mark, its about 5mm wide, and the chips are probably 1mm deep, I'm sorry for the bad pictures but hopefully it'll give you some idea.

I am thinking I will have to use a filler, and then sand > prime > paint

What do you guys think

Would something like this work? if it was then sanded and sprayed? I am thinking of trying to match the original colour, but repainting the entire thing as there are a number of scratches and marks
