redefine the name of the ethernet card in my hackintosh

Best thing to do would be to delete your Ethernet connection, then re-add it. It should id as en0. If not, you may have to add EthernetBuiltIn=Yes to your com.apple.boot.plist. Also, you can just install any of the com.apple.boot.plist options through MultiBeast.

if your motherboard has 2 NIC ports, if after deleting the connection(s) per tony's reply en01 still appears, you may want to switch the cable to the other port.

thanks but now it's working.

I used plist editor and update the parameters in systems configuration

For me the WIRED eithernet is en0 (not using) and my airport is en1.

Is this a problems for itunes etc?
