Recover OSX Install

Hi,

Haven't used my OSX install for nearly a year. I never really installed it properly (I don't think). I booted from a USB which let me choose, between mac and windows. Want to start using my 'mac' again. However when I try to boot from the USB from the BIOS, nothing happens (get forced back to bios).

I'm a bit out of the loop, can anyone suggest the steps to take?

Made sure, fast boot and everything is off. Secure boot is on 'Other OS'. Recently overclocked to 4.1Ghz, would that have caused an issue?

Install is on separate SSD.

Perhaps if you posted something more meaningful.
Which operating system ?
Which boot loader ?

You could just reinstall over the top of your original with the same OS or a later one.
If you don't format the drive all of your existing data will be intact.

I am a vegetarian, perhaps not enough turkey?

Perhaps if you posted something more meaningful.

I think it is Mountain Lion, IIRC, is there a way to check?

How can I find out the boot loader version?
