Recommendations for rack mount chassis for Hackintosh build.



Hi all, Jack here with my first post on TMX86. Any thoughts on this? (Rack mount chassis for Hackintosh build.)

I would like to fit a decent GPU, power supply, 4 SSD's and any MoBo that supports at least 32 gig of RAM and top shelf wireless?

I would prefer a 3 or 4 space short depth case vs a 2 space deep case. I'm not a gamer, this would be used to record live audio and video.

I would be recording 1080 with an eye for 4K in future.

Also I would like be able to Stream 4K content on TV/monitor for home leisure time.

Personally, I like Chenbro and Ark cases - check Newegg.com and look under server cases.

Thanks. Unfortunately I live in the US. I am looking for a case no more than 15”/38cm deep.

So far in my hunt it appears to be quite a rare bird.Thanks again.
 
I'm looking to do the same sort of thing for film set offloading, backup, playback, syncing, color, and transcoding. I essentially want to simulate an 8 core Mac Pro with D700 GPUs. At least 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD startup drive. I would also need it to be whisper quiet.

One thing to look out for are those 1U Cases. They can be hassle due to the cooling. 2U case would be better than a 1U case.
 
1 space is definitely out as they are mostly insanely deep. I have checked out Apple Xservers. They are 1 space like 2 or 3 feet deep?
