Few months ago I bought a Linksys WMP300N which uses a Broadcom BCM4321 chipset. The card is PCI, not PCIe.

Using ubuntu, I rebranded (using Prasys guide) it to an Airport Card. I even changed the PCI device ID to use the vanilla IONetworkingFamily.kext and it's detected correctly as an Aiport Card.

The problem is that it doesn't see any networks. Adding a network manually doesn't do anything. Deleting the WiFi device and readding it doesn't work.

I've read that changing the PCI slot works but my motherboard only has one PCI slot.

Getting a PCIe based solution doesn't help either because I already have a PCIe USB 3.0 card which I use A LOT.

I even added an entry for my card on the DSDT but it doesn't help either.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Have you made sure that you put in the right product and vendor id?

Of course, it is detected by OSX as an Airport Extreme but it can't detect any networks. On windows works fine after rebranding.

I quit on this and bought a TL-WDN4800 and works OOTB.

Cheers!
