Hello all

i have a problem...

i installed mac without any problem but when it booted up the first time it poped a message telling me i need to restart the computer (gray background)

after that every time the mac starts booting (the gray background with the apple logo) it reboots the computer...

i have tried many installs and every time that's happening.

osx 10.6.3 (dvd version)
iboot 3.1 (latest version)

try to boot in safe mode (-x) and install the 10.6.8 combo update. I am pretty sure that your processor is making the os kp. Sandy Bridge is natively supported in 10.6.8. B4 you reboot run MultiBeast and any other drivers you may need.

Confirm you set BIOS to AHCI, HPET, 64, S3, boot order.

Did you use a DSDT for your exact board and UserDSDT option in MultiBeast?

What options did you choose in MultiBeast?

Can you get to the Chameleon screen without iBoot disk in the drive?

If so stop there and try typing -x -v PCIRootUID=1 and post a screenshot if it doesn't get you to Snow Leopard.

If you never get to the Chameleon screen, try the same but use the iBoot disk, boot flags and post a screenshot.

The tonymacx86 Installation Guide (see my signature block) explains how to setup your BIOS.
