hello I'm going to be modding a g5 case for my hack and i was wounding has anybody ever got there G5 rear I/O ports) to work with there mobo ? I would like to keep my case looking stock as possible

A few people on insanelymac have used the actual g5 mobo, and then soldered wires onto the connector solder points on the back side of it. Then soldered extension wires onto those wires and connected those wires to their mobo.

thanks i found it and after looking at it I think I might go a different route .. the thing is it looks so clean from the out side

look for zammykoo
He made a mounted board with the proper plugs for a G5
Not sure if he has any left but was selling them.

do u know if there any one else

zammykoo has not responded to me

he stopped making them according to his thread.

they were cool but $$$

If I knew how to make the metal strip or lines or what ever they are called I'd make my own. It seems pretty straight forward and easy enough to do.

i did one once when i was still in secondary school, guess youd call it high school.

we had to draw our circuit or whatever you call it onto the copper pcb, and then acid bath the pcb until all that was left was the outline.

wasnt difficult to do, but i dont think i could do it in a home environment
