Graphics
GeForce GTX770
i'm using unibeast 8.1 to install High Sierra on my Mobo (GA-Z87X-OC Force) but keep getting to the same point then stops.

i also tried a RehabMan style build (the one i used for my laptop) and this stops at the same place.

here are the screenshots up to the crash

  • Check your BIOS>Peripherals> Super IO Configuration and Disable the Serial Port , if seen ENABLED and then F-10 to save and reboot
  • From CBM screen, boot in Verbose Mode again and upload any problem Boot screen image like you have done.

before reading this i re-established the Bios settings (not serial though now done!) - Load optimize defaults - VTd is greyed out but i turned of intel virtualisation - XMP to profile 1 - booting igfx first (not PCI SLot1).......

.......and i got to the installer! I completed install to SSD then ran MultiBeast.

when i try to boot from that drive i go CLover - Verbose only and i get this! (i've seen this with another installer USB before?)

i have 2 x SSD's - 1=Sierra (booting and working fine) 2=HighSierra (above)

however it boot's perfectly from the USB Installer. Here is the settings for MultiBeast

  • To diagnose this KP on the Boot Screen, I need to check your whole CLOVER folder from the System SSD where you had run the Multibeast.
  • You may try and see if your USB installer disk would help you to support the booting of your High Sierra System SSD from the CBM screen to desktop. [ Boot with USB installer till Clover Boot Manager screen and then switch to System Disk and boot in verbose mode]
  • To get to CLOVER you have to mount the hidden EFI partition of your High Sierra SSD on the desktop using Clover Configurator Vibrant (CCV) DOWNLOAD
  • Click and navigate from EFI>EFI>CLOVER and right click "compress Clover" >Upload
Edited to add:

BIOS Intel Virtualization :ENABLED is OK.
VTx is not the same as VT-d ("Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O") which needs to be DISABLED for OS X /macOS installation . If that is not available or you forget you can use the Clover boot flag dart=0 in place of VT-d=Disabled

did you see the addition to above post (clover config?)
more views of the same KP using different flags in CBM

i will extract my clover folder from the EFI and attach asap

  • I need to see the whole CLOVER created by MB. that led to the posted KP.
  • The CBM images you had posted are showing a few of the the options you can select.
    • These are some switches provided for last minute changes to be made to your config.plist >Boot section.
  • The whole boot process requires the participation of the ENTIRE CLOVER ; config.plist is just the key to this chest of goodies need for the travel from Power ON to the Destination screen ( Login Screen for System disk and Installer Language Screen/Disk utility Screen for USB installer)

CLOVER.zip
I have reviewed your CLOVER /kexts/Other , CLOVER/drivers64UEFI and config.plist selected Sections and annotated to show how I would edit to save and try booting with that CLOVER.

I don't have Nvidia GTX 770 and don't know if it needs any config.plist editing.
In my Nvidia GT 710, there is no need for [√]InjNvidia no need for NvidiaWebdrivers. But in my CLOVER/kexts/Other I have placed NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext (latest) and RehabMan's latest Lilu.kext,.
I suggest you do the appropriate config.plist editing .
But I think you need to add the two kexts to kexts/Other (shown in the image) and the same ones to your /S/L/E using Kext Wizard.

Edited to add: In the image of kexts/Other , only the numbered folders 10.6 to 10.13 need to be sent to Trash. DON't delete "kexts" folder . I will upload an edited image to make that clear.

thanks again for your help!

ok so i ran a clean install of clover (4392) to give myself a clean starting point, then applied the kext and drivers64 changes.

i didn't do the rt variables as i couldnt figure out how to create the ROM and MLB (asking me to create a UUID?)

however it now boots everytime (and quickly) but.......only if i choose boot igfx in bios. this is fine but i end up with 4 screens in osx (usually i boot PCI 1 and get the 3 screens attached to 770 card only)

if i boot PCI 1 slot gfx i get black screens with attached message - (this is also what would appear if i plugged a monitor into the mobo display port

i've also attached my new clover folder

  • I take this as you running Clover EFI boot loader -r4392 on the macOS High Sierra System SSD and editing its /CLOVER/drivers64UEFI and /CLOVER/kexts/Other folders with the kexts I suggested in my earlier response in #8
  • You DID NOT change the SIP from ENABLED to DISABLED for reasons not clear to me.
    • The ENABLED SIP can adversely affect kext loading with Non-Apple kexts or kexts modified to create mackintosh. You are using such kexts in CLOVER/Other and also in /S/L/E
      • If you cannot load the required kexts, your Hackintosh system can malfunction

however it now boots everytime (and quickly) but.......only if i choose boot igfx in bios.
  • Understood this as : you cannot boot using your Nvidia GTX 770 PCIE graphics card connected to the monitor because of "black screen following the "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState" freeze and therefore you are using your Integrated IntelHD 4600 Graphics connected to the Monitor with the same "IGFX" chosen in the BIOS as "Initial Display" (and hopefully DVMT( Dynamic Video Memory Technology) Pre-Allocated Memory of 64 or 128, the latter being preferred)
this is fine but i end up with 4 screens in osx (usually i boot PCI 1 and get the 3 screens attached to 770 card only)
  • If you are using Integrated Intel HD Graphics connected to your Monitor via its HDMI port , in addition to BIOS options chosen as above [IGFX + DVMT Pre-Allocated Memory of 128), you need to
    • edit CLOVER/kexts/Other adding IntelGraphicsFixup.kext (latest) [See edited image)
    • edit config.plist->Devices : Fake ID [0x04128086] (See image)
    • edit config.plist- > Graphics [√]InjectIntel (you have done this ) and ig-platform-id [0x0D220003] (see image)
    • Save edited config.plist by clicking the 2nd arrow toward bottom of CCV Tools bar on its Left Panel.
