Thanks. Do you have any suggestions on a CPU cooler that will clear some high-profile RAM. I didn't actually get these in the end, but similar sized ones I think.

Those high heatsinks are more for show that utility - you can usually find the same ram with a low profile heat sink by changing the CMZ in the model number to CML. With the low profile DIMMS, it will fit under any 3rd party CPU cooler I've ever seen.

Cheers. Yeah if I'd thought it through more before buying I may have got low profile RAM. I ended up getting these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-086-PA

My i7-3770K is floating around 80ºC at load, maxing at 84ºC I think, so I want to get a good cooler. I'd also like to overclock slightly at some point. I need to find a cooler that will clear that RAM. Do you have any advice?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 would probably do it, but might block the first slot. Might have to move the fan to the other side in a pull mode rather than push or get a slimmer fan.

Awesome suggestion! I didnt know that and was never sure why some heat sinks were larger than others. Im going to try changing CMZ to CML the next search I do. Sweet info, thank you.
